69 stepside questions, on motor? old military, do numbers match?
I have a 69 stepside that was an old airforce truck. The airforce sold the truck around 2003. The motor in this truck is a 350 4 bolt main, but this is what my questions are about. The block number is 3932386 (car, like camaro), and the heads are 3932454 (307 or 350). Did the military just put vehicles together, that were not numbers matching, (the car block)? Using spare parts GM had around?
Everything was on the motor like a c10 has, it looked like a c10 motor Others with old military trucks, do your numbers match? I am rebuilding the motor right now and just had these questions, look forward to the responses- thanks
