It could only happen to me....

'79 c10, p/s pressure hose started leaking at crimped fitting, got a new one and the fitting going into the steering gear threads in all the way but the tubing still moves around (loose) anyone ever run into this? hose looks the same as old and after looking at the steering gear i dont see how the old one could 've ever tightened up. That end of the hose has a regular old flare on it but i dont see anything it would mate up to in the steering gear. Possible someone put a different year steering gear in?
