65 C-10 resurrection
Started on my 65 C-10 longbed last this week. Front clip off. Made a cab stand. Removed the cab and set it on the stand to get started on some minor rest in the floor corners. I also shortened the frame to transfor into a short bed truck. 12" out of the middle and 8" off the tail. The cab is in pretty good shape. regular dents and the minor rust. But somebody cut the trans hump out, happy blade wheeling idiots. Oh well. I'll have to figure out how to put some pix up. Have already been tinkering with some stuff. Rebuilt the gauge cluster. Still need an amp meter. Found an auto colum and a deluxe stering wheel. Rebuilt them. Still has a 283 and 4 speed mounted in the original frame. Exploring suspension modes, not sure how much drop it will have. It will be an advertising truck for my shop. It will run air conditioning estimates. So pretty and functional are the key works for it. Well more later.
