Question Brake Warning Light

The red brake warning light on my speedometer is on when the ignition is on and car is running. I read in the manual that it is due to the proportioning valve reacting to un-even presure b/w front and rear, and that it is usually due to air in the system. Yesterday I bled the brakes but this did not have any effect, the warning light is still on.

I have only had the truck a couple of weeks so don't know what the brakes should feel like but they do not inspire confidence. I did stamp on the brakes to see if I could lock them up but no dice.

Just wondering what my next step should be and how to move forward to resolve the issue ?

Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks
