Long weekend. 70 Suburban almost ready for the scrapper.

Spent a good long weekend working on parting my 70 suburban

Found out some fun things about it too.

It's not a numbers matching motor.

Also, not the original body. Body was a 2wd and body swapped. There were regular rivots on the VIN plate, and what gave it away was the high hump, place right over a low hump.

The truck is getting closer to being scrapped now. Rear third member is out. rear drive shaft is out, motor is stripped of most accessories. Interior is pretty stripped, just need to get a couple more parts and patch panels for people, then pull the drive train and wheels and it's gone. Sad too, cause the frame is so good. Body was shot though. found tons of small rust holes that would be a pain to fix.

This is how I ended Saturday. It started with the front end on.

And this is where it ended today. Forgot the camera, so cell phone pics

So when I get the drivetrain out, the rest will be going for scrap. Should be able $200, so if someone wanted to match it, I'll let it go with the title. You'd get a good frame, the rear axle housing, Front axle, and a free body. Will include rear doors, 3rd door, and rear glass. Windshield and front doors are getting kept. This is not a for sale ad though, so please don't ask about it. PM me if you have questions. Once I get good pictures, I will be making for sale ad for the parts.

Here are more pictures of it: http://s282.photobucket.com/albums/k...-3-10/?start=0
