Cab aluminum wrap trim- Glue on or clip?

Hi,

I want to install the cab brushed aluminum wrap trim (goes under rear window) on my '85 K3500. I found a good one in a junkyard and was hoping I could glue it on instead of drilling new holes and mounting all the clips. Anyone done this? Also, I'm afraid I'll damage the trim removing it from the junkyard truck. Is it hard to remove the trim for the clips? Do you just pry and pop it off?

Thanks,

Dyno
