Gotta question about tie rods...
Hey everyone, I've got a '67 with '74 steering knuckles (1/2 ton). I've got '67 tie rod ends in there now, but they're too small. They just flop around and it would be extremely dangerous to drive. '74s fit the knuckle, but the threads don't fit the adjuster sleeves. I need a happy medium. My solution was to buy 3/4 ton tie rod ends (they fit the adjuster sleeves) and ream out the holes to make them fit. Then I have the added bonus of beefier tie rod ends. Before I do this, are there any easier alternatives? Maybe some kind of adapters? I remember hearing about some kind of adjuster sleeve adapter, but I wouldn't know where to find one. ANY help is greatly appreciated. I wanna get this thing on the road already. I just wanna be safe doing it.
