Exhaust System

Hey guys, I've got an '87 TBI Silverado and am looking at doing a new exhaust system. I've been looking at a set of long-tube headers that are ceramic coated from Summit Racing.

I know I'm going to have to go to a 3-wire (heated) o2 sensor, but my question is the placement of the sensor. I found some collector reducers with the o2 bung already installed, which seems preferable than trying to weld one into the header collector itself. Will this be too far away from the exhaust ports to put the o2 sensor or will it be ok since I'm going with a heated sensor? Thanks for the help.
