Brenham's Flavorful Festival
Apr 24, 2010 10 AM to 5 PM Downtown Brenham Stroll around Downtown Brenham's historic square for ice cream and an old-fashioned Country Flavors Cake Bake-off sponsored by Must Be Heaven and fancy that! It wouldn't be a Brenham celebration without ice cream, so enjoy the 20-plus flavors at the Blue Bell Ice Cream Smorgasbord -- all-you-can-eat, all day long for only $6! Plus enjoy free samples from a wide variety of tasty, area-produced foods, including Windy Winery, Chappell Hill Sausage, Briannas Salad Dressings, Pleasant Hill Winery, Independence Coffee and more. In addition to all the tasty treats, there will be craft and food booths, children's activities, pioneer folk-life demonstrations, plus western shows by Old West re-enactors Wolf Creek Pistoleros at 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., and the "Blast from the Past" car show. Don't forget the Little Mr. and Miss Scoop Contest, open to ages 3-5 years old with a country theme this year. Entry forms are available at www.downtownbrenham.com. Finally, enjoy a free evening concert across from the historic Simon Theatre. Enjoy this fun festival packed with tasty treats, entertainment, live music and so much more. http://www.ktex.com/
