Undoing lifts?

Searched but didn't seem to find an answer. Looking at some 77-87 squares for my new driving daughter. Found a couple of nice ones but with body lift which is not what I want. In particular I keep seeing 3", 6" or 9" frame/axle and 3" body. Undoing a body lift would seem pretty easy, just need factory length cushions and bolts, right? But on a frame/axle lift, what would you have to do? Replace the springs/hangers with factory parts? Do these usually involve rewelding preches or hangers?

As you can tell I'm not a 4 wheel guy, but the daughter would like a mild one... but the road to school is curvey and banked funny and the last thing she needs is a big lift.

Thanks!
