Extang Black Max Tonneau Covers

I purchased an Extang Black Max Tonneau Cover for my 68 C20 longbox from Jegs and I am in the process of installing it tonight and I have a question.

This cover has adjustable snaps for different temperatures.

If anyone has one which setting do you use? I am wondering exactly what they mean by warmer and colder? My garage is about 10 C ( 50F) and there is no way it is going on with the tighter setting.

I am thinking it might be because it is still new and needs to work flat after being rolled up in the box. So I have it over the truck box partially in place and if this snow stops and the sun comes out I will pull it out of the garage and let the sun warm it.
