Truck too low to use Engine Hoist??

I tried to drop the engine in my frame and my engine hoist would not go under the front a-arms...

Called Tx_Firefighter and he told me to use some wood under the front wheels to elevate it enough...

Here is my question...if I put a two by 10 onder the front wheels I can get the hoist under the a-arms with about 1/4 of an inch gap...if I drop the engine in it will this force the a-arms down where that gap is gone? Will the a-arms be on the engine hoist arms?

Should I use 2 - 2X10 stack on each other? Or is one 2x10 enough?

This is a bare frame without the cab, bed, etc. on it...would the 2 boards make it angle too much and make getting the engine lined up harder?
