Re: rear disc conversion ?
theres tons of threads already created on people who have made their own like me, and captian fab. captian fabs uses 12" awd astro van front rotors and d52 (stock style) front calipers. I made my own with some 2004 style dodge rear brakes... havent finished the rear e-brake, but I'm running 13.8" rear discs at the moment and stops great with no work to the p-vave (for now).
heres some linx captian fabs for sale page: http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=398352 My whole braking system - thinking out loud thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=392348&page=1 13.8 Rear Disc Conversion for the truck 10-bolt in the works http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=392474 the next brake conversion i will tackle is using c5 rear discs if rotor can fit over the axle flange. I know the fronts will not fit over the axle without machining down the axle... I will go to autozone today and take some measurements. This is the kit I will be replicating but for use with the c-10 rear axle flange. Ive got all the measurements i need except for the offset of the caliper bracket and backing plate. For that I probally will buy a spare rear end at the bone yard. heres a few pictures of the kit thats offered for the f-body rears...
