well I broke down and turned loose of the cash

Hi Y'all

I took my 63 bbw shorty to the transmission shop to get the old powerglide rebuilt. on the tow over there the truck fell off the tow truck and damaged the rear fender. Well the tow company sent the truck to the body shop after the tranny was rebuilt to fix the damage that they caused. I have always thought body work was too expensive to have a pro do it for me, so i was going to do it myself but that has been a ten year project and is still not very far along.

Anyways, to make a long story short I asked the guy at the body shop how much it would cost to fix all the damage, rust etc. etc. and give it a two tone red and white poly paint job........$3200. Well my mama did'nt raise no dummies (only a fool!!) so I said do it. Turns out the body shop owner is an old truck nut, he has a 53 chevy, and he is really happy to be doing this job. He is going to buy a disposable camera and take pictures along the way. Now all I have to do is wait about 2 months, I feel like the kid in the Disneyland commercial. "I'm too excited to sleep"
I'll send pix when I get 'em
