Re: My Truck
Well I got my first weekend off in 5 months so I was able to finally get to the shop and see what was happening with the truck. We had to loosen the bolts and tweak the bed a little bit because it was sitting a little crooked. Need to order some more spacers for the bed to line it all up and install the fuel cap in the wood, clean it, and reseal it with some Thompsons. Luckily Doug and Mike have been getting work done on it even though I haven't. I got these pics today while Mike was painting most of the parts and talked me into painting the grill in SOM to match the body instead of painting it a metallic black. The biggest offset will be the chrome wheels and some black trim pieces including the front end's GMC lettering which I think will look just fine.

Their dashboards aren't plastic, and they've survived both the best and worst of what the 20th century had to offer. For the owners of these trucks, it's often the same story. Through both good and bad times they persevered, until one day they could turn the key and roll up in a customized truck everyone with good taste would admire. – Custom Classic Trucks Last edited by TwiggyTheDrummer; 05-16-2010 at 07:06 PM. |
