project update

I never created a build page, but I have an update and a new picture.

I was the guy that several months ago hosted a pity-party and had some board members come over and help me do some lifting. I had just gotten my burb back from the paint shop and had some medical problems and couldn't do some of the lifting myself.

Anyway, I'm feeling better (still not 100%) but I am moving so I have been thrashing on my burb to get it on the road.

I re-wired it, re-assembled the front end sheet metal and am putting in the interior and glass this week.

Here's a picture as it drove out of my garage under it's own power, mostly complete for the first time in 6 months:

I'm pretty excited, but man there is a lot of work, stuff you don't think of when you are fantisizing about working on your truck. I think I spent over an hour trying to install my new sun visors on the new sun visor rods, for example. And the repro inner fenders needed "persuasion" to fit the fenders and get the rest of the sheet metal back together... etc.

more later,
--steve
