I came across a guy that has an old military truck, 6 wheel drive that he's willing to sell. It runs but the tranny is busted he says. I have no use for the truck or even the axles.

What would the axles be worth on something like this? Seems like the serious off roaders are looking for them, but I don't really have the room to keep something like this around waiting months for the large parts to sell.

Is there any particular things I should be looking for on this truck to know if it's even worth the trouble?
