79 Big 10 rebuild

Finally got started with the tear down on the 79. Hopefully in the next few weeks I can get it back together and on the road. Keep in mind that this will be a work truck first and for most - so everything will not be perfect. I just need it to not fall apart when loaded LOL.

Anyhow here it is at 5:22 pm today.

This is the only truck I have out of all mine that has a solid battery box.

At 6:31

and at 6:49

I loved how tight the exhaust manifold is

I also got the bed yanked off and loaded teh truck up on a trailer for a trip to the coin wash tomorrow. Once I get 31 years of gunk off the engine I will see what I have to do from there.

I am going to put a new gasket set on the engine before I get it on the road.
