stripped bolt hole
Hey all. haven't been on this site in almost a year. Glad to see it still up! I just rebuilt my th350 & got it installed only to find the "s" pin inside on the linkage was backwards. I took the pan back off & got that turned around, but when putting the pan back on, I stripped one of the holes at the back of the tranny by the modulator. I struggled for an hour or so trying to get a smaller bolt through the hole & put a nut on it, but couldnt.
Am I better off just rethreading the hole & putting in a bigger bolt? I don't own a tap & die set, but I'm sure I have a friend or two with one.
