Any way to identify a 71-72 grille as NOS or repop?

Hi All,

I have a unmounted 71-72 chevy grille assembly (surround and insert) that I was told is NOS bug no box/packaging/stickers are on the grill. Person was original owner of a 71, sold it a long time ago, and had this grille for it, but never redid the truck. In his words, he says NOS parts.

Was wondering if there was a way to identy OEM part or repop?
