72 swb, 454/t400, complete resto
Hello everyone, I have been reading and researching here for a while now and its time to start my project thread. I have a 72 c10 that I have owned for 13 years. It is the first vehicle Ive owned. Funny part is it has yet to see the road. Thats all about to change
![]() Its orig. a straight 6, 3 on the tree, stepside, bare bones truck. Someone has done rockers and cab corners before, and hacked in a B.S. aftermarket sunroof. I am going to look at a stockpile of NOS parts local to me on saturday; If all goes well I will have: 2 fleetside bed sides -NOS Front bed panel bed floor 2 door shells -NOS 2 fenders-NOS hood-NOS rocker panels-NOS tailgate- NOS roof - off of 72' cheyenne special I have a low mile 454/t400 from a 75 camper special with an edelbrock intake, dynomax ceramic coated longtube headers, full gasket set, new timing chain, oil pump kit, and oil pan; I might put a cam in it, un decided yet. I have a complete 4.3 serpentine setup I plan on installing, along with the power brakes, HVAC, and column from a 90 s10 blazer. I also have a power steering box (new) correct for the truck. I will be installing an air ride, 18 or 20" wheels, and painting everything all hopefully before the end of the summer. I plan on making a few shows/cruise nights with it this year! Follow along, I will be loading this thread with pics as I go! hopefully the fun will start this weekend. Thanks, Pat |
