Finally Hit 1000

Well I have been avoiding making any posts for the last few weeks because I knew my count was at 999. I wanted to say something meaningful but couldn't come up with anything so here is a bit about me and what I have been up to (Basically some meaningless chatter ).

I joined the board in August of 2006 shortly after I bought my '70 SWB. I finished rebuilding it in September of 2008 and, have to say, I am happy with what I turned out being my first build of this magnitude. My color choice a much bolder version of the factory green metallic and I must have chosen well because many board members have requested the color code and there is at least one finished truck here that sports the same color (bad6772's Sweat Pea). The truck has been a lot of fun for the last few years and this past winter I finally got around to putting the "finishing touches" on the interior.

I have a few other projects currently on the go... I am just in the process of finishing up my '68 LWB in bright orange with all the 67-68 lower trim. I also have a '70 Chevelle with a 468 BB, nitrous and a bunch of other goodies that I like to get up to the track every now and then. And, last but not least, my '70 GMC C20 which I bought from a fellow board member. It is a rust-free big block A/C truck which is my daily driver at the moment and soon to be my next project.

It has been a great 4 years on the board and, I have said it before and will again, I have come into contact with some of the most honest, helpful and genuine folks here and am proud to be a part of this community.
