Help ID'ing this- also a couple of pics of trk

I am doing a part by part frame off as my memory is not what it used to be....a total frame off at one time would be more parts than I care to remember....

So anyway Heres the wire. It looks like a ground but I am uncertain as to why a ground would be fused?

Also included are a couple of pics of the old girl. This is my 6th or so of this species I have owned. I regretted getting rid of them all, but at the time money was tight...This one started off as a cam change and has grown far out of proportion from whence I started....

Thanks for your time
