Changing to 4.75" bolt pattern?

OK, I've been looking at different wheel styles for a little over a year now, and every time I find something I really like, it's only available in 5x4.5 or 5x4.75" bolt patterns. I know the reason why is because the 5x5" pattern is specifically for trucks and large GM cars. But most wheel manafacturers won't produce a lightweight aluminum wheel for a "truck" because of load ratings. My truck hauls only a cooler and folding chairs now, so that shouldn't be a problem.

My question is, has anyone ever changed to the smaller bolt pattern on a 67-72 with stock brake and suspension components? Does anyone offer rotors and axles with the car bolt pattern?

Is this even worth trying to do?
