stepside box mounting??

When you cut the frame from a LWB to SWB do you have to change the mounting location?\

I got a fuelcell guy tank and the filler tube goes right over the rear mounting hole for the box on the frame. I have looked at other guys tank mounting and the rub marks on the frame from the box are ddifferent then mine... how do I move the box brace for mounting??
