little help with lowering questions please.

Hello all, recently purchased a 72 Custom Deluxe. It needs exhaust and shocks so I thought I would Drop it a bit while we were "at it" The question is...I want a relatively flat ride, perhaps a bit higher in the rear, not slammed to the ground and no desire to bag it. What is the mose economical and safe option? What is practical for a daily driver? Drop Spindles, Lowering springs? Honestly have never done this kind of work and need some advice. Thanks! Rich
