Video Chips 69 stepside RUNNING!!! VIDEO!!!
Just had to share this video,5 years into the truck and I fired it for the first time about a month ago, just for a minute. Tonight I re-checked everything and ran it to break it in---here it is after 20 minutes of running---lots of echos in the MESSY garage. But FINALLY!!!!!!!!! I have the hood fenders ect painted and a new interior ready to install for the finale.
It really is a good feeling to say I did MOST everything myself paint ect. I honestly tried to do the interior--I went as far as to buy a industrial sewing machine and give it a real try--I cant do it,BUT I tried. A machinest friend with 32 years exp.assembled the motor for $200---i dont even have a good torque wrench anymore so HE got the job. I tried to redo the trans myself having never done one,I carefully disassembled it and again had a good friend that took over for $50 and a couple of cold ones. The video is on you tube under chips 69 stepside Yep thats me with the smoke---- It seems forever getting to this point---how many times I was going to try to sell it----How many wrenches lost---How many skinned knuckles---cuss words, wrong parts ect ect. OK we have all been there. Hope this brings a smile to someone---hearing it run made me feel 30 years younger---- |
