Doesn't sound funny to me. I love a six with split pipes, a cam, and some carburetion. Have no idea why but it never occurred to me you had a six cylinder.

I've read one of the tricks guys did back in the 40's to make them even louder was to split the pipes unevenly - 4/2 or 5/1. Can't say I've ever heard one set up this way, but it was suppose to be really wicked sounding.
