63 c10 with power steering issues

I have a 63 c10. I recently added power steering to it. I aquired the parts from a donor 76 c10...I used a cpp bracket plate for support and a gear box, pump, lines from the donor. The power is soft as butter but my turning radius is crap. I can make wide left turns but right turns are a pain in the A$$. There is a huge difference in how much the tire comes out when turning. Is there a right way and a wrong way to put on the gear box?????I installed mine with the tires fully straight. What did I do wrong? Thanks for any input.
