A little help for a new guy

Hi everyone I just joined this forum this week so pretty new. I just bought a 68 c-10 2wd just like Ive always wanted. Now im a Ford Diesel tech in MN and am very new to the restoring body parts. I'm good with engine, electrical and suspension work, but have no idea how to do body work. I know people that can do it but there all old retired friends of my dads and there no help. Should I dare pay a body shop to repair or try myself? The truck came from CA and is dent free but has some rust in common spots. i.e cab corners, floor pan, little on doors, and little on fenders. is this forum going to be enough help for me or will i be in over my head. I want to restore it to stock but don't know where to start. Thanks for any help if pics are needed I can sure post them. take care!
