rocker arms 292

what are the differences between big block chevy and inline 6 rocker arms? both list as 7/16" stud, are they the same? if so would a set of 1.8 ratio one fit on my 292 i dont want to have to tear into the motor for a cam swap and my buddy might be parting out his 496 stroker with 1.8 rockers, thought it might provide a little extra lift and power with out over stressing the springs and be an easy install. thanks for all your help!
