RPO KC4 factory oil cooler, pull it or scrap it?

I have a 87' V10 that is all stock and well optioned, but I am always on the lookout for ways to add more options it didn't come with. A buddy of mine has an 87' Surburban that he is scrapping, and it has the factory KC4 option of a oil cooler still on it in great shape. I know this would fit mine and be 1 more (totally unnecessary I know) option for me to add, but wondered if it was worth pulling for mine. Neat to have on it, or 1 more thing to leak!? I've never had a truck with a factory oil cooler on it and just wondering if it's worth the time and if they are more trouble than they are worth. Opinions appreciated, ecspecially if you have one. Thanks!
