what works?

I'm thinking about combining a couple projects into one, but I'm not sure which piece's will fit in my puzzle. Truck #1 is a chevy 2wd low hump 67' chevy small back window, with a 350 and th350. Truck #2 is a 71 gmc 4x4 high hump 4-speed sm465 with a np205. Both Lwb. I also have a Th400 coupled to a np203. My questions are: #1 If I put the 67 cab on the 4x4 frame with the low hump and use the th400 will I have any clearance issues without cutting the floor? and question #2: To keep the truck an automatic, will the th400 even bolt to the np205 without adapters and such? I got the th400/np203 out of a 78 or so k3500 donor truck, I have no idea what splines the outputshafts have? Any advice is much appreciated. I had planned on having a summer truck and a winter truck, but with a new unexpected 3rd baby on the way, I think financially it would be wise to combine a couple projects and make 1 nice truck. The reality is that I need 1 reliable 4wd vehicle to plow my driveway and get to work.
