Hello folks,

My name is Dave, I'm from the Niagara Region in Ontario and I just purchased a 1987 GMC V-15 4x4(Sierra) a week ago to be my daily driver. It's a bit of a frankenwagon as it has a next generation fleetside shortbox(1988+). So far I haven't gotten it on the road as I'm finding more issues as I'm fixing other ones, but I'll post about those problems in the appropriate sub-forum.

The vehicle looks to originally have been a beige/sand color but is currently fire engine red, the original engine was a 305 TBI unit from what I can tell, but from what I gather, the current powerplant is a 350 TBI unit, is there a surefire way to tell which it is? The person that sold me the vehicle claimed it to be the 5.7L and it looks like the 350 in my dad's 92 suburban.

Anyway I love the look of the vehicle and the first thing I did after purchasing it was find a GM truck forum I liked, that seemed helpful and this is the clear winner. Thank you for having me.

Dave
