Variable Ration Steering box. Should I upgrade?

Hey guys I have my engine out of my truck and I am almost ready to put it back in. However I was wondering if I should upgrade the steering box before I put the engine back in. I dont want to spend 3 grand on my drivetrain and have steering problems.

So In yall's opinion should I go ahead and replace the steering box? I already replaced my Idler arms etc. I just want to tighten up my steering a little and not have to worry about to many problems in the future.

Thanks!
