Cork or Rubber gaskets for intake manifold & valve covers?

Hi everyone,

I know this has probably already been addressed but should I use cork or rubber for my intake manifold and valve covers? Should I also add some kind of high temp silicone to the gaskets? Thanks for all of the help.
