94 350 in 71 c10

I'm looking at buying a motor and trans for my truck and here are my choices:
94 suburban with a 350 and rebuilt trans. Has problem with speedo registering way too high and stalls when braking. I thought about converting it over to a carburetor.

1988 c30 with 350/350. (carbureted motor) This is a farm truck that allegedly has a fairly recent crate motor. Couldn't really drive it very fast to test the trans out. Seemed to start and run ok.

The suburban is $600 complete and the truck is $500 complete. My fear with the suburban is the unknown problem with it running poorly. I don't know much more about the truck but at least it runs ok.

Which way would you guys go?
