Cutting carpet for gas pedal, 1968
I installed carpet in my 1968 3/4 ton today and all is fine except for the gas pedal. I need to cut a hole in the carpet and I am looking for a little advice.
Anyone done this and can post picture of exactly where they cut? Will the pedal snap back onto the stubs with the carpet in place? Or did you remove the stubs and screw them through the carpet? I have read about installing the newer, hanging style gas pedal and I do not want to do this to my very original truck.
