fuel Gauge question

Just checking in with everyone to see if your fuel gauge needle stays at F or 1/2 or whatever your fuel level is when you take out your key. Or does it go all the way to empty when you turn the truck off?

Just working out some gremlens with my gauge and wondering what the rest of yours do...

BTW i have the square fuel gauge not the round one, I have the fuel gauge next to the oil press on the bottom right, Thanks
