Need LS1 Help - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I am trying to fit a 1999 LS1 350 with 4L60E into a '72 short frame. This engine came from a Pontiac. I have interference with the frame and the A/C compressor. (The compressor is mounted low on the passenger's side.)

I have another 350 - not LS1 - with a factory serpentine system from about 1993. The A/C compressor on this engine is also on the passenger's side but it is mounted high. There is no interference with this engine. My question is: Will the older serpentine system bolt to the newer LS1? That may be a dumb question, but I've asked dumb questions before.

Any input is appreciated.
