Wow! Thanks everyone for the input. I appreciate it.

After you guys mentioned the cam, I remembered that it does have a very mild cam that was installed before I bought the truck. When we rebuilt the motor we put it back in. Not sure what lift or duration it has.

I'm thinking for right now I'm just going to install the intake and maybe try an edelbrock 750 that I have. If thats too big I'll swap the 650 from my 76 4x4 and see how that runs. If neither run right I may have to save up for the right size Holley. I've always heard Holley made better carbs but I got the Edelbrocks for cheap so I might as well use them.

I may get headers eventually but for now I'll keep running the ram horns.
