I believe there may be two different versions... don't quote me though. I don't have pictures, but there is a large "plate" with a lip to catch the under side of the wheel so it doesn't slid around. At the front end of the carrier is a long bolt that bolts to the frame and to the carrier. The other end is also a long piece of threaded rod that has a piece that you thread on and off the rod to secure/lower the tire carrier. I believe the solid side of the tire carrier is on the driver's side frame rail, while the side you raise/lower is on the passenger side. You should see a hole on each rail at an angle from each other (may be a bunch of other empty holes down there as well).
