Turbo 350 tranny question

I got a question for the transmission guys. I got a 383 stroker backed by a 'built' 350 turbo tranny. I bought this 'as is' so I dont know what has been done to it. The problem I got is that it seems to shift fine, but its squirting tranny fluid out of the kickdown cable onto the intake manifold. It does it every time it shifts. I have only been able to take it up the road for a 1/4 mile or so. Im afriad of something catching on fire until I can find out what is causing it. I hope I don't have to pull the tranny. I can here bubbling like after I shut it off out of the kickdown cable. It does have a tranny cooler and the fluid level seems to be right where it should. Any thoughts? Thanks.
