Wheel Bearing question...
I have a wobble/vibration in the drivers side front wheel of my recently purchased 84 K20. I was thinking it was the tie rod, ball joint, steering stab. etc.....Jacked it up and pulled the tire to see that the play/movement is actually in the hub area itself (manual hubs). I think it might be the bearing is shot, but it doesn't grind or make a noise....just that wobble feeling in the wheel. Other thing is that when applying the brakes the vibration goes away completely. Does this sound like the cause of my vibration? btw- the inside spanner nut is turned all the way in to where the threads stop on the axle so it's not that the spanner nut is just loose...also I purchased it with the front caliper frooze and trailered it home ( I had to replace rotor, pads, and caliper) so I'm thinking the bearing could have taken some heat/abuse leading up to it freezing up...what do you guys think? Thanks a lot!!!
