Air filter for 62 carb?
Heya all, I have a 62 c10 I've been working on and it has a single barrel rochester carb. I got the truck from my great grandfather after he passed away and he's done a few things that I can't figure out.
He cut off the oil filter and sealed it off, has the exhaust held up with extension cords and there's no air filter on the carb. I actually found about 8-10 walnuts buried down in the carb and the intake manifold due to no filter over the carb. it hasn't run in 5 years or so and I've finally got it running on its own. I've looked at various filter systems but it doesn't have the single hole in the middle for the long rod to come up through the bolt on the filter. It does have 2 small holes on the top ring around the edges of the carb, but I can't see any threads in there, like where you'd screw something in. Ideas on what to get, where or what to fabricate? |
