Dually drop questions
After doing (quite) a bit of research, it looks like a 1/2 ton swap into my dually is going to be a considerable PITA. I started looking at pictures of lowered Duallies and they look good, but I have a few questions. Since I really have my heart set on having a CCSB 1/2 ton, that is the way I am still leaning. But....
-What kind of drop could I expect by doing a flip in the rear, and spindles and cutting the springs in the front? -Will it stil be able to haul like stock, or at least a loaded car trailer? -Is there actually room to do a flip and keep most of the springs? I don't think mine is already lowered at all, but the bump stops are lower than the top of the springs. I have access to a SWB frame along with all of the 1/2 ton suspension, and already have a clean short bed. Would I be time and trouble ahead to just cut the rear of the SWB frame, and graft it onto the rear of the 1 ton frame I have now? it is entirely possible I am overthinking things, but I am trying to keep downtime to a minimum. Any help, insight, or advise is appreciated.
