buying rocker panels

My '69 has rockers that have been completely rotted away and the previous owner put a piece of metal with some sheet metal screws in. I don't know what I need to get to replace the rockers. In a magazine I saw that they have listed 5 different types of rockers- Rocker panel plain, rocker panel with curve, rocker panel OE type, inner rocker panel, and inner rocker panel ext. The OE type looks like maybe it is a complete replacement for what I need. I have nothing to go by on my truck since the rockers are entirely gone. So, do you have any ideas of what I need. I can get pics of the magazine or of the truck if necessary.
thanks for the help
