I'm About To Mount The Cab

I'm headed over to "the shop" this morning to find out what I actually have, but I have some help coming, so I thought I'd ask a question before I have all the data:

I THINK I have a 71 C10 frame and cab (and rad core support) mounts for the '71 frame. But I'm using a '68 cab. If I get over there, with all the help that's coming ($$$$), do I check the cab for numbers, check the donor 71 cab for numbers (C10? C20?) and then try to figure out whether I'm putting the wrong mounts on only AFTER the front clip and bed does not possibly line up (the front clip's off, the bed's on, but tilted with only one bolt holding it. Both are from the '71 C10).

Sorry for asking a "what if" question without the good info, but I couldn't make it over there last night. I have the P.O.-purchased cab mounts...brand new stuff...and the manpower coming this morning in an hour....

I want to put the cab on so I can start with the cab's body work...you know ...put a steering column in so I can move it around. Glass is out, almost fully gutted the cab, but the guy coming today is a body guy.... and I need a passenger rocker panel (I have the replacement) eyeballed by him, too. The cab on would be a big help. But not if I have to take it off again to change out the mounts by myself....

Thanks.
