Gauge Cluster questions

My truck doesn't have the gauges, it has the lights that turn on when something is wrong. My parts truck on the other hand has the gauges, and I want to swap them into my truck.

The clusters

Now, I noticed that the pattern of the plug is not the same.

What do I need to do to be able to make the gauges work in my truck? Do I have to swap the whole entire wiring harness inside the cab? or do I just need to cut all the wires and wire in the plug from my parts truck into my truck? I am not sure if the gauges work or not, so I would hate to swap the harness and then find out the gauges don't work. How could I go about testing them before I fully install?
