What paint do you use?

Hello, I took out my factory pillar molding that are tan and I want to paint them black like the rest of my interior is going to be......so my question is there a special type of spray paint used for vehicle interiors and can it be used on metal like the front of my ash tray and glove box (and the rest of the metal dash parts)....it would also be helpful if you have pictures of what you have done with it (if you can)
